Friendship is a natural and willing servant….There is no reason…why the great power of friendship should not be harnessed to do its part in the world’s work.” Founder of Rotary, Paul Harris, 1912 Rotary Convention

Fellowship is one of the five core values of Rotary – diversity, integrity, service, leadership and fellowship. It is through fellowship in Rotary that much is achieved: friendships develop, clubs are strengthened, projects evolve and humanity is served.

Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful service projects characterize Rotary worldwide

Keen Rotarians look forward to meeting their friends at their Rotary club meetings and sharing in social events with their fellow Rotarians, partners and families. Working together in fellowship strengthens our commitment to Rotary and builds bigger and better Rotary clubs.

Some people may believe that fellowship is the final goad of Rotary, but it is not  It is the means and the avenue by which we are working toward the bigger things in Rotary, the thing that we are offering to the world today that is making it worth while, this ideal of service.
