Each year we show our appreciation, to the nurses in our community, by giving thank you gifts. We usually celebrate together with big hugs, little happy dances and whoops of delight.
This year was different! We were social distanced, their faces and ours were covered by face masks that hid tentative smiles, and our gifts were inadequate in showing how in awe we are of them.
These nurses are our unsung heroes. They are at the forefront of the coronavirus pandemic, helping prevent and manage the spread of Covid-19 in our community, during these critical times.
Our most sincere thanks and appreciation go out to all healthcare workers!!
