We have a special celebration in 2021! The Rotary Club of Johannesburg was the first club to be chartered in Africa in April 1921 and we are planning our District Conference and the Africa Centennial celebrations on the weekend of 23-25 April 2021. We look forward to creating a legacy and our legacy will be Rotary African Community Mediators in Africa for Africa – a Vocational Team project, which will help grow peace on our continent for the next 100 years. During the Gala Banquet, we aim to present these 100 trained and accredited Community Mediators to our Rotary International President Holger Knaack and South Africa’s President and Chairman of the Africa Union, Pres Cyril Ramaphosa.
The Hoedspruit Rotary Club was chartered in October 2015 and the Club has Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status, which means that there are substantial tax benefits to sponsors.
